NaNoWriMo 2008

by Josh at 9:47 pm

I haven’t mentioned it before now, but I have been doing NaNoWriMo again this year.  I enjoyed my experience quite a bit last year and so I was looking forward to cranking out 50,000 words again this year.

Alas, it appears that I won’t make it this year.  I’m at about 26,000 words and there is only a week left in November.  I decided to just accept the fact today that I am not going to make it.  I ran into some difficulties this year.  I was travelling more this year, and there were a few days when I wasn’t feeling well.  Excuses, excuses, I know.  I guess you can’t win every year.

However, I do intend to keep going and write as much as I can.  And if I spill over into December, so much the better.  The writing experience has been just as good this year and I’m eager to see where my story ends up.  I’ll have more to report on that when I’m finished.

Hey Josh that is great that you are still writing. Some activities that you do must do for your own reward. I’m sure the story will still be worthwhile to read anyway.
